2026 is already shaping up to be a major year for Rebecca Ferguson, and it seems like her momentum will only continue to build in the months ahead. She kicked things off by starring opposite Chris Pratt in the polarizing sci-fi blockbuster Mercy, which underperformed in theaters but later gained strong traction on streaming. Last month, Ferguson teamed up with Cillian Murphy for the highly anticipated Peaky Blinders follow-up, The Immortal Man, which is still sitting near the top of Netflix’s charts weeks after its debut. She’s also slated to reprise her role as Lady Jessica in Dune: Part Three later this year and will return as Juliette Nichols in Season 3 of Silo this summer. Once The Magic Faraway Tree hits theaters in America this summer, fans will have even more Ferguson-forward content to dive into.
2025 was a relatively quiet year for Ferguson, especially at the beginning, as her only project was the second season of Silo, which began in 2024 and continued into the new year. However, she closed out the year strong with the release of A House of Dynamite, the war epic directed by Kathryn Bigelow and co-starring Idris Elba (Luther) and Gabriel Basso (The Night Agent). There was plenty of movement behind A House of Dynamite in the months leading up to release, with some positioning it as a potential darling at the 2026 Oscars, but the ceremonies came and went without it earning a single nomination. It’s not even been six full months since A House of Dynamite was released in select theaters and on Netflix, but the film has already been forgotten and is no longer in the top 10 in a single country around the world. The ending, which was left up to interpretation by the fans, was particularly controversial among audiences.
