Jenna Bush Hager is addressing the pressing questions.

After viewers noticed the Today personality was absent from the morning show’s first and second hours on August 10, she explained that her absence was due to travel commitments.

“I’m just off a flight,” Hager stated as Today With Jenna & Sheinelle commenced the program’s fourth hour. “I was in Maine with my family, and my little nephew got baptized, which was so sweet.”

Although the 44-year-old missed the morning’s “Jenna’s Morning Boost” and “Pop Start” segments, which she usually participates in, she fondly reminisced about her family time in New England, including feeling “kind of weepy” at the baptism while reciting a poem by Mary Oliver.

“I was reading it, and it was in the church where I’ve gone with my grandparents my whole life; my kids were baptized there,” she continued. “There’s something sort of evolutionary about looking up and seeing your twin sister hold this big ol’ baby, and I couldn’t help it.”
