Katherine LaNasa wishes she could erase the first season of The Pitt.
As the HBO star attended the Emmy Awards 2026—hosted by Law & Order: SVU‘s Mariska Hargitay at Los Angeles’ Peacock Theater on Sept. 14—she revealed that her surprising desire to redo her debut season came after reviewing her performance, which ultimately earned her a win for Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Drama Series in 2025.
“I just meant that I can’t see myself. I was so surprised that I got nominated the first season,” LaNasa exclusively told Justin Sylvester during Live from E!: 2026 Emmys, adding with a laugh, “If it was an audition tape, I would have been like, ‘Eh, it was okay.’ You know, I think I feel like that when I look at myself.”
Furthermore, the actress mentioned that regardless of whether she won for the second consecutive time—an honor that ultimately went to Allison Janney for her work in The Diplomat—she was prepared for an emotional night, attending alongside her husband of over 14 years, Six Feet Under‘s Grant Show.
