Ken Urker appeared to be in a dark place before his death.
One day before Gypsy Rose Blanchard‘s boyfriend was found dead in his Louisiana home, he had attended church with Gypsy’s half-brother Dylan Blanchard and his wife Anita Blanchard, the couple told police after finding his body on October 1.
Dylan and Anita said Ken had been at church with them on September 30 at 8:45 p.m., and they became concerned after hearing about his state of mind.
“They stated Mr. Urker made comments of being depressed and upset,” Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office Sergeant Brandon Smith wrote in a police report obtained by E! News. “They advised he made a TikTok live video at approximately [11 p.m.]. They advised that he just had the video going while he was driving without him saying anything.”
The couple told authorities that “due to his behavior” and learning from Ken’s boss Justin Daigle that the 34-year-old did not show up for work, they all decided to “check on him” around 6 p.m. on October 1, per the police report.
