Earlier today, fans were treated to a glimpse of Absolute Batman’s next major project, thanks to the team at LEGO. It has been revealed that Absolute Batman and Catwoman will be featured in the upcoming Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight video game. To announce this news, the character’s creator Scott Snyder appeared in a promotional video showcasing Absolute Batman’s inclusion, leaving the best-selling writer in awe.
“How did you guys get it in there so fast? That is so beautiful. He’s got the spikes, he looks so tough. Look at his face!”
Snyder continued to commend the LEGO team for their impressive adaptation of Absolute Batman. “I cannot believe that. It looks so good… You guys are magicians. I am seriously in awe.”
Absolute Batman Is One Of DC’s Greatest Successes In Years
With Absolute Batman preparing for a leap beyond his comics, fans are anticipating the hero’s next significant era. This version of Batman remains relatively unknown outside the DC fandom, but that will change once LEGO’s new game is released. This take on Bruce Wayne is cherished for good reason, and following Absolute Batman‘s record-breaking sales in 2024, it was only a matter of time before Snyder’s creation gained widespread recognition. It’s not common for a comic launch to have such substantial hype, but overwhelming praise from fans has propelled Absolute Batman to sell over three million copies thus far. “The great thing about Batman is that when you enter it, it’s not just a character. It’s an entire universe and his own mythology,” Snyder shared with fans. “All his fears are represented as characters and [this] truly feels like a celebration.”
If you are eager to experience Absolute Batman’s video game debut, you won’t have to wait long. Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will be released on May 22, 2026. The title will be available on Windows, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5, with a later release for Nintendo Switch 2.
