Hayden Panettiere’s Mother Speaks Out, Claims Family Tried to “Remove” Brian Hickerson
Hayden Panettiere‘s estranged mother has strong words for the actress’ on-again, off-again partner Brian Hickerson.
Lesley Vogel criticized the 37-year-old in a statement regarding her daughter’s passing on August 16.
“This individual in her life that we have been attempting to remove for quite some time was with her at her death,” she told NBC News on August 18, “and that was Brian Hickerson.”
“I believe Hayden was an incredibly talented individual in many ways,” Vogel, 70, added, “and I think young people who grow up in the entertainment industry face struggles; it’s a very challenging field and it’s not uncommon for them to unfortunately take the wrong path.”
E! News has reached out to Hickerson’s attorney for a response but has not yet received one.
According to a report from the Greenville Police Department obtained by NBC News, Hickerson and his brother Zach Hickerson were present in the South Carolina apartment complex where authorities responded to Panettiere experiencing cardiac arrest.
