Free League’s award-winning tabletop RPG, The One Ring, is officially set to get three huge new releases in September via a new crowdfunding campaign announced at this year’s Gen Con event taking place this weekend. According to the official press release from Free League, the triple offering includes the following new releases:
- The White Tower and the Hall of Gold: A major campaign expansion exploring Gondor and Rohan, the last great realms of Men in the west of Middle-earth.
- Creatures Strange and Foul: A bestiary filled with enemies from the shadows of the Third Age, including Black Númenórean spies, Haradrim champions, and ancient evils from forgotten ages.
- Revised Core Rules: An updated edition of the award-winning game featuring new cover art by Antonio De Luca and clarified rules. The revised book remains fully compatible with previously released supplements and adventures.
The White Tower & the Hall of Gold is a huge new expansion sending players to Gondor and Rohan, while Creatures Strange and Fowl is an intricately detailed new bestiary for the RPG that “gathers a host of adversaries drawn from the shadows of the Third Age.” Both components will also be receiving 5E counterparts for The Lord of the Rings Roleplaying titled Realms of the South and Of Orcs and Evil Things, respectively.
