Next Jujutsu Kaisen Found by Crunchyroll

Jujutsu Kaisen has always had potential, and its third season finally realized everything the franchise was capable of. Now that the third season is over, however, Crunchyroll has another amazing series that might pick up where Jujutsu Kaisen left off.

Daemons of the Shadow Realm is the dark, gritty, incredibly interesting spiritual successor to Jujutsu Kaisen. The series shares a few things in common that make Daemons of the Shadow Realm a great pick for anyone wanting more Jujutsu Kaisen.

There isn’t truly another series identical to Jujutsu Kaisen, and that’s a good thing. The series does a great job of setting itself apart from every other shōnen series, but it’s going to be years before we get a fourth season. Until then, check out Daemons of the Shadow Realm and learn more about Yuru, Asa, and the unreal world of Daemons.

Jujutsu Kaisen’s Third Season Is Unreal

Jujutsu Kaisen’s first season was good, the second season was great, and the third season has been nothing short of masterful. MAPPA knocked it out of the park, animating the third season so well that it feels like it belongs in the theaters. The third season of Jujutsu Kaisen animated the first half of one of the best arcs of the franchise: The Culling Games arc.

The Culling Games arc is the first time in which Satoru Gojo isn’t around. He’s so strong that the world bends to his mere presence, and without him, Jujutsu Society is almost left in shambles. Season three might’ve been even better because Gojo wasn’t around, as the series had more time to focus on some of the amazing side characters that make the series majestic.

In an unforgiving industry, these talented creators have proved they’re far from one-hit wonders

Megumi, Yuta, and Maki all shined in the third season. Maki’s Perfect Preparation episode is easily one of the best in 2026, and nobody could have predicted just how powerful she would become. Yuta’s Sendai Colony episode is another top-tier bout, as Yuta showed why he is truly considered to be second to only Gojo.

The third season of Jujutsu Kaisen also introduced a ton of new characters who will play monumental roles in the future, including Takaba, Higuruma, and everyone’s favorite Feverish Gambler, Kinji Hakari. The fourth season of Jujutsu Kaisen probably won’t come out for at least two years, but luckily, we have something great to watch in the meantime.

Daemons of the Shadow Realm Is Up Next

Daemons of the Shadow Realm has one of the best premier episodes in anime. In just over 20 minutes, the series puts forward an incredibly gripping narrative that raises more questions than answers, forcing fans to watch more in the best way possible. It’s a new series from Hiromu Arakawa, the genius mind behind Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Daemons of the Shadow Realm don’t just share an art style: both series feel dark, gripping, and otherworldly. There’s more than meets the eye in both franchises, and both series seem to offer deep, philosophical themes that a lot of other franchises aren’t willing to touch.

Jujutsu Kaisen is also drenched in philosophy. It’s more than your average shōnen in that it’s willing to tackle some of the heaviest subjects in the genre. Daemons of the Shadow Realm and Jujutsu Kaisen are both witty, brutal, brave, and ambitious. There’s no telling when Jujutsu Kaisen is coming back, but until then, watch Daemons of the Shadow Realm.
