Subscribers of Hulu can now enjoy Lionsgate’s 2025 psychological horror film featuring former Saturday Night Live cast member Pete Davidson. As of today, Davidson’s The Home is finally available for streaming on Hulu.
What do we know about Pete Davidson’s The Home movie?
In The Home, Davidson portrays a troubled man who must fulfill his court-mandated community service at a nursing home where bizarre occurrences affect the elderly residents. The SNL star is familiar with the horror genre, having previously appeared in A24’s horror comedy Bodies Bodies Bodies. Since its release, The Home has faced negative reviews from critics, currently holding a Tomatometer rating of 29% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 55 reviews.
“In this horror thriller, a rebellious twentysomething is sentenced to community service at a quiet retirement home. The residents on the fourth floor are strictly off-limits, said to require ‘special care.’ As his suspicions grow and he digs deeper, he uncovers a chilling secret that puts both the residents’ lives and his own in grave danger,” reads the official synopsis.
The film was directed by James De Monaco, who co-wrote the screenplay with Adam Candor. The cast also includes John Glover as Lou, Bruce Altman as Dr. Sabian, Ethan Phillips as Ethan, Mary Beth Peil as Norma, Marilee Talkington as Gretchen, and Victor Williams as Couper. It was executive-produced by Davidson, Andrew Golov, Daniel Hank, and Thom Zadra, with Bill Block and Thom Zadra serving as producers. The creative team also featured composer Nathan Whitehead, cinematographer Anastas N. Michos, editor Peter Gvozdas, and editor Todd E. Miller.
