Reign in Blood 40th Anniversary Tour Dates for Slayer Book Pair

Fans of Slayer will have two additional chances this year to see the band celebrate the 40th anniversary of the iconic Reign in Blood album, as they have just announced new dates in Los Angeles and Minneapolis.

The reunited rockers had previously announced two other appearances this year, both linked to music festivals. On September 6, they are set to revisit the classic album during the Rocklahoma festivities in Pryor, Oklahoma, while on October 24, they will honor the album at the Texas stop of the Sick New World festival in Fort Worth.

What Are the New Slayer 40th Anniversary ‘Reign in Blood’ Tour Stops?

The two newly announced stops are not part of any festival. The band will perform for a West Coast audience on November 13 at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. Earlier this week, they teased this appearance with a social media post featuring the Forum illuminated with Slayer imagery.

Cannibal Corpse, Cavaleras (Max and Iggor) performing Sepultura’s Chaos A.D., and Crowbar will support the Los Angeles show.

About ‘Reign in Blood’

Slayer’s third studio album, Reign in Blood, was released on October 20, 1986. The album was initially intended for an earlier release but faced delays due to record label concerns regarding its opening track, “Angel of Death,” which addresses Josef Mengele and his human experimentation during Nazi concentration camps.

This was the band’s first charting album, reaching No. 94. It has since become one of the most revered albums in thrash metal history due to tracks like “Angel of Death,” “Postmortem,” “Criminally Insane,” and the legendary closer “Raining Blood.”
