30 years ago, Biker Mice From Mars rolled into stores and on to TV screens. Now, as the cult-classic sci-fi hit has found new life as a successful comic book series at Oni Press and action-figure line from Nacelle, a new character is racing into the Biker Mice From Mars mythos. Her solo comic book miniseries hits store shelves in August, and you’ll also be able to bring her home as her own action figure; Collider is proud to present an exclusive first look at the new collectible.
Scorch is the newest character in the Biker Mice From Mars universe; she’s a former compatriot of the Biker Mice who’s turned her back on them to become a villainess, siding with the evil aliens who have turned Mars into a wasteland. After making her debut in Oni Press’ Biker Mice From Mars comics, she’s set to star in her own solo miniseries, Biker Mice From Mars: Scorch, which will hit stores this August. She’s also set to become the first comics-original character to join Nacelle’s Biker Mice action figure line.
Her figure is fully articulated and is seven inches tall, like the rest of Nacelle’s Biker Mice line. She will come with two alternate heads, one scowling and one helmeted; three pairs of alternate hands; an arsenal of weapons, including a war hammer and a flamethrower with translucent plastic “flame” effects; and a hot dog. What Is ‘Biker Mice From Mars?’
In the world of Biker Mice From Mars, the red planet is home to a race of rodent-like humanoids with an advanced civilization and a fondness for vast, loud vehicles. However, they’ve been reduced to near extinction by the Plutarkians, a fish-like species that plunders the resources of other worlds. Three Martians (leader Throttle, gentle cyborg Modo, and hot-headed Vinnie) escape to Earth, where they befriend Chicago mechanic Charlene “Charley” Davidson. They soon discover the Plutarkians have set their sights on Earth, and frequently clash with Lawrence Limburger, a Plutarkian disguised as a human industrialist. The original animated series ran for three seasons between 1993 and 1996 and was revived for a single season in 2006.
Biker Mice From Mars is one of the many properties from the late ’80s and ’90s that Nacelle has revived in recent years, with plans to combine them into a shared universe. Other properties under their purview includeRobo Force,Sectaurs,Power Lords, andThe Wild West C.O.W.-Boys of Moo Mesa.
Nacelle’s Scorch action figure will be available for pre-order soon. Stay tuned to Collider for future updates.
