Best known as the home for all of Taylor Sheridan’s content, Paramount has been in the news recently thanks to its acquisition of Warner Bros. The merger is going to form a larger company that will soon be known as Skydance, but for now, fans will continue to head to theaters and different streaming platforms to check out productions from Warner Bros and Paramount. As for Taylor Sheridan, Paramount will only be the home of Sheridan content for another few years, as the Yellowstone writer has already inked a deal to leave the studio at the end of 2028. He will take his talents to NBCUniversal, meaning his shows will stream on Peacock. He does have two new movies in the works at Paramount, though, F.A.S.T. and the Call of Duty movie, which are coming to theaters in 2027 and 2028.
One of the most popular shows to emerge on Paramount Plus in the last few years has been SEAL Team, the war drama starring David Boreanaz that first premiered on the platform back in 2017. Seven years and seven seasons later, SEAL Team came to a conclusion during the summer of 2024, but the show is overstaying its welcome on platforms such as Paramount Plus and Netflix. More than two years after it went off the air, The Nielsen Company reports that SEAL Team pulled over 2 billion minutes watched during the month of September on Paramount Plus and Netflix. That’s easily enough to make it one of the most-watched shows of the month, and its audience only continues to grow as more discover the show years on.
